I used to have this on VHS. I remember the show from start to finish. Good to watch. Something that always bugged me (or something I always wondered) is that little kid was a plant / scripted. The way the kid said his dad works at night he looked like he was memorising what to say.
I always thought this how did they know to have the lego stuff at stage ready
this was brilliant to watch. back in the day when we used to have entertainers and not left wing woke celebs. The sad thing is is that this sort of act wouldn’t fly these days cause of ppl sensibilities
Too successfully hold an audience for so long is talent in itself-bring back Barrymore…
There’s a belief that a genius is always close to the edge and wrestling with inner demons . I wish Michael welll and happiness.
Lucky as a child to see him live in Blackpool in the mid 80s and when I was a young teenager. I think then he was supporting Canon and Ball. He was the absolute highlight of the show. His energy was astounding. His act was hysterical. Such a great variety entertainer and someone we will not see the likes of again. Watching him in 2021 I can’t help be reminded a little of John Cleese in Fawlty Towers, especially when he is in character and throwing audience members out.

Which is sad for the family I understand but that death had nothing to do with Michael the only thing it had to do with him was he died at Michael’s property

if he wasn’t popular with the British public he wouldn’t have come second
it’s more the Media who’s knackered this man’s career up
He was proven innocent so why don’t the TV companies in England employee him again
And give us some real entertainment instead of these daft reality shows
